Our travel team have a long list of favourite hotels that we have worked with over the years but here are some that have captured our imaginations and became a crowd favourite in our office.
1. Soneva Jani
Based in Maldives, Soneva resort has 24 villas over water and one sprawling island villa.
Each of the over water villas further have their private pool, and retractable roofs that give the guests an amazing view of the stars at night. Most Villas also have slides to bring guests directly to the lagoon from the top level. A spa, an observatory, and an outdoor cinema is also present in some Villas.
2. Nam Hai
The four seasoned resort in Vietnam is located on a private beachfront. It's a half-mile stretch near UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is based in the center of Vietnam and has a great address in Hoi An.
60 beachfront villas have their private outdoor terraces, and 40 pool Villas have private swimming pools.
Not only that, but there are also four tennis courts, a spa, a beach bar, two restaurants and three communal pools.
3. Las Alcobas
This wine lover's getaway is located near Beringer Winery. Consisting of 68 bedrooms and suites that all have private outdoor terraces with their fireplaces and amazingly beautiful views of the vineyard.
The hotel's spa is the main highlight as it is a 3500-square foot and the California restaurant, which is seasonal, is run by the Top Chef, Chris Cosentino.
4. Silo
The hippest hotel in Cape Town is believed to be Silo. Located in Cape Town, South Africa the Silo is built at the Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA).
The silo has 28 ultra modern rooms, each with eccentric interiors and exquisite views of the waterfront. The restaurant of the hotel overlooks the Table Mountain and is considered to be a part of the Royal Portfolio hotel collection along with its spa, rooftop pool, and lounge.
5. Zil Pasyon
If you're looking for luxury, this is the place. Located in Seychelles, Africa on the island of Felicite, Zil Pasyon has 28 stand-alone villas featuring a private pool and wine cellars. A 24-hour personal butler is also available. The chic retreat is also eco-friendly due to its chicken farm, reverse-osmosis refinery and its organic farm.
6. Luang Prabang
A 10 minutes’ drive from the UNESCO World Heritage Site Luang Prabang will take you to this earthly place. The place is a forest retreat with its rivers, waterfalls and dense forests. The place consists of luxury tents and private dining areas. It has 22 units for accommodation, a spa offering Rosewood’s signature sense and a bistro that serves French and Laotian fare.
7. W Shanghai-The Bund
The W branded property is located along the Huangpu River, Shanghai.
The 374 rooms and 35 suites are a blend of both traditional and w's aesthetic décor. The lounge, W's signature spa, and a sprawling outdoor pool are the main highlights of the place.
8. St. Regis Dubai
Located on the world-class polo field is the St. Regis.
With 159 rooms, it is a home to 500 stable polo academies, dressage arenas, riding school and show jumping. It is any horseman’s dream as they can interact with the horses at the stable, go to the Equine library which has a variety of equestrian statues, literature, and artefacts. They can also go to the Equestrian lounge and wind down with a cup of tea.
9. Eden Hotel
The 125 years old hotel was renovated extensively to a 98 room hotel to achieve a modern touch. The main highlights include the hidden library bar, the brasserie and the iconic restaurant La Terrazza with its breathtaking views.
10. Assila Hotel
Rocco Forte's first foray in the heart of Jeddah does not disappoint. With 147 rooms and 63 suites that have panoramic views of the city, it is a beauty. The hotel features four top restaurants, the best being the Aubergine and a pool on the rooftop.
11. Four Seasons
The Four Season London at Ten Trinity Square is an 89 bedroom and 11 suite hotel. Crystal chandeliers, Corinthian columns and ornate plasterwork give the place a classic luxury look.
The hotel also features a Spa, Roman inspired, which has a Hamman, a nail lounge, and a sauna. The French restaurant is run by Anne-Sophie Pic a Michelin starred chef.
12. Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills
Located in the heart of Beverly Hills is the 12 story Art Deco hotel. The highlights of the hotel include the 5000 square foot spa and the restaurant run by Jean-Georges Vongerichten, a Michelin-star chef. The hotel consists of 170 rooms and 51 suites. Three of these feature a private plunge pool whereas all the rooms have jaw dropping views of the city.
13. Fontenay Hamburg
Designed by Jan Stormer the hotel is said to be the top luxury hotel in Hamburg in the next 18 years. Each room has its private balcony and windows as huge as the walls with views of the Lake Alster. A 1000 square foot spa and the indoor infinity pool is also present. It consists of 131 rooms and suites and is a member of the Leading Hotels all over the world.
14.Raffles Europejski
Built in 1857, the landmark hotel has been under extensive renovation and is soon to re-open doors. The hotel has 103 suites, a cigar lounge, a spa consisting of six treatment rooms and a Polish Restaurant.
15. SLS Brickell
SLS is said to be Miami at its best. Located in Brickell, the restaurant is very stylish. Featuring 124 rooms, a rooftop deck, an infinity pool and breathtaking view of Downtown Miami are the main highlights of the hotel, not to forget the soft, subdued colours and minimalist décor of the hotel is beyond amazing.
